Backyard Stuff.

Well to begin with i am still cleaning brush from all the tree cutting. 1 big tree and several smaller ones make for a mess to clean up, most is gone now.

The rabbits are back, have seen one grown one an one young one. They are or at least were living under the house next door to me thats empty. I do see them in the yard often browsing around.
Of course there are squirrels around, doesnt seem to be as many as i have seen in years past.

Plenty of birds around,, mockingbirds,robins,cardinals,flickers,blackbirds,sparrows,wrens,doves and others.
A pair of mockingbirds have set up home right next to my back porch, about head level. They are in the same place many other birds have nested in. So far they have been good tenants with no problems.
Plenty of dove hang out in the yard because i make sure there is seed on the ground for those birds that just dont like to land on the feeders. Some of them arent even that worried when i walk into the yard, they dont even fly away when my dog goes out, the only time they will leave is when either of us get to close for thier comfort, otherwise they just walk away an put space between us.

Hummingbird feeder is out and full but no hummers have been seen yet. Of course the flowers they would feed on havent even bloomed yet.

I have been working on the flower beds in the back an front getting them ready to plant, looking forward to get some new plants this year since i have to replace quite a bit this year.

My plum tree bloomed out an i tried to keep watch for any honeybees feeding on it but didnt see any. Actually i havent seen any honeybees yet.
Both lilac bushes bloomed again this year, i wish the blooms lasted longer than they do.

This year at least one flower bed will be nothing but wild flowers. I should have some more room next year an will plant even more.
