Just ramblings from someone who lives on a mountain. Into blogging , fishing, watching wildlife, an what ever i find interesting on the web to write about.
My yard is my nature preserve and i work in and on it all the time to attract whatever type of wildlife that wants to visit.

Today in History

well this isnt what you think it is.

10 years ago this month a single man passed away ,, he was from Iowa but spent a good part of his life down here in the south.

He had a hard life, he lived on the road , not driving but walking everywhere he went an he did travel a good bit.

This man most people didnt want to get close to but many wanted to at least see him, an he was sort of a traffic stopper.
You could tell where he had been cause he nailed up little signs on his travels, of a religious nature i cant renmember now what they said.

He was an oddity to most, folks didnt understand how he lived the way he did, but many folks saw him an when traffic slowed down on some road to a crawl, people got to looking to see if he was walking along the road with his wagon.

Yes i saw this man several times while growing up,, he finally sort of retired, i believe to his home in Macon Ga. ,,i know at some point in time his house burnt.
He passed away at the age of 90 +.

This is for you GoatMan ,, may your memory live on with those that remember you.

Yes you traveled with a wagon pulled by goats , you slept with your goats, you cried when two were murdered even when you had been beaten by the same young thugs. Yes you never took a bath, but you sure looked healthy.

I dont know a word that would label you, wish i did.
